Free 60-Second ADHD Reset
When your brain has too many tabs open
You do not need to organise your whole life right now. Use this quick reset to reduce the noise and find one useful next step.
1. Empty your head
Write down everything currently asking for your attention. Do not organise it yet. The goal is to stop holding it all in working memory.
2. Circle one thing
Choose the task that would make today meaningfully easier if it moved forward. Not the biggest task. Not the most impressive task. Just the one that matters next.
3. Shrink the first step
Turn it into an action small enough to start in a few minutes. “Do tax” becomes “open the ATO page”. “Study” becomes “open the lecture notes”. “Clean the house” becomes “clear the kitchen bench”.
4. Park the rest
Everything else can wait in a list. You are not ignoring it. You are giving your attention one job at a time.
5. Start before you feel ready
Give the first step five minutes. Momentum often arrives after starting, not before.
Progress over perfection. If this helped, explore the Neurodivergent guides for more practical systems built for real-life ADHD friction.
